Cross response refer to other gas sensor in measuring the gas characteristics of the gas in response. According to the properties of different gases on the sensor, the sensor output signal is sometimes less negative cross (response), sometimes will enhance cross response (positive). Cross response interferes with the measurement of sensor signals, especially negative cross response, will weaken the sensor response to the tested gas, thus delay alarm instrument, therefore more dangerous. We use cross response factor (CF) measure the cross sensitivity of the sensor, through the CF values, we can use a gas calibration of sensor directly measuring the other kind of gas concentration, thus reduce the trouble to prepare many kinds of gas.
